In honour of Roald Dahl Day, the children took part in a sponsored read. They all did very well and we raised a massive £180 for our school library! A big thank you to parents for your support.
Today we hosted our first full school parent classroom workshop. This was a successful morning with parents experiencing a morning in the life of their child’s teaching.
Year Six had a wonderful time at the prom last night. We wish them all the best for their transition into high school and their futures.

The Nursery and Reception children are all showing off their sporting skills in the Foundation sports day. They are all having a great time and lots of fun, plus the weather is being extra kind and it is a glorious day. Congratulations to the winners and to all for taking part.
The Penny Party is in full swing, and Year 6 are having a wonderful time raising money for their reward trip to Alton Towers. A big thank you to all parents/Carers who have kindly raided the bottom of their purses and bags to allow children to take part.
Year 6 began their bikeability course yesterday and the first day went well, with the students who took part enjoying learning new skills. Can we please remind all year 6 parents to complete the bikeability consent form and return to school so all children can access the course. Pupils of Y6; please remember to also bring your bike and helmet on Mondays!
There is new data protection legislation that comes into play today. GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is effective from 25th May 2018 and it tightens up the law on what organisations can and cannot do with personal data. As a school we have to be explicitly clear on what data we have and what we use it for, as well as having measures in place

On Wednesday, Brandhall Primary were invited to Wednesbury Pulse Centre to take part in their football tournament. We had two teams, the first made up of Year 4 and Year 5 students, and the second were our Year 6 students. Year 6 played well, however were knocked out in the group stages.
